As if being one of the most successful pop artists around wasn’t enough, Justin Bieber has also gained the crown of most-watched artist on Youtube with over 3.5 billion views on his main channel JustinBieberVEVO.
Justin was nearly pipped to the post by Rihanna as she overtook him 3 weeks ago, but the sheer power of the Beliebers soon put Justin back in the top spot. Even the recent controversy he has faced while in London (turning up late to his concert, lunging at paps and ending up in hospital) hasn’t dampened his appeal to his die-hard fans.
Despite being the first person ever to reach 1 billion views on Youtube in October 2010, Lady Gaga has slipped down the Starcount.com chart and now comes in 4th after, erm, Eminem.
One unlikely entry into the top 10 is PSY of Gangnam Style fame who comes in at 5th place. The hilarious video has become the most popular individual Youtube video with 1.4 billion views! (We reckon a good few of those views have come from heat Towers…)
Another unexpected entry on the chart is Shakira (we loved Hips Don’t Lie but has she done much lately?) at 6th above the actual Queen B, Beyonce herself in 7th place. Shakira. Above Beyonce. We can’t believe it either.
